Description
SOLD!!! @11 November 2022. To an appreciative buyer who also bought Vincent's Bedroom in Arles. I am very grateful to the buyer and glad this is finally gone to a new home. It's kind of strange that I had to repaint this a second time on wall before it 'decided' to leave me. Some other artist mentioned that I should paint this on wall which I literally did when the opportunity struck earlier this year in July. I used this a reference for one of my walls painted this year at Hong Lim.

This is the kind of coffee shop I see and go to when I was young. In this one, they had bird cages for people to bird watch which is rather interesting. It's also one of a few favorite pastimes (when iphones and technology didn't exist then).
As the country is urbanising, such scenes are fast disappearing! So I got to preserve such memories by painting them. I hope to put this onto a wall some day when the theme is right (which came TRUE in July of 2022 at Hong Lim).
It was also an experience with figures sitting down. I love painting vintage work particularly of local scenes and people cos they are memories for me as a child.
