I was commissioned to do this as there were remaining two more walls to end the entire project. This is my second wall painting of a Chinese provision shop. It brought back childhood memories for me as I would run to the nearby shop to get my sweets and snacks. The machine right in front next to the biscuit tins were used to grind coconuts and they are rarely seen nowadays. I still drink the chicken essence for energy to sustain me throughout the day or whenever I feel fatigued. And as for the soft drinks, these are still sold but rarely in such bottles these days. These shops are slowly dying as urbanisation takes over...so we need to preserve such memories.
