One of 14 images I recently painted on 10 walls at a neighborhood for a senior therapy center Time period: January 29 to mid March. Total time taken: 14 full weekend days.
Theme: heritage and rural which is my favorite apart from faces and landscapes
Filled with my childhood memories, I enjoyed adding the child who's playing hide-and-seek with her sisters who are drawn at other parts of the wall. The Grandma is a metaphor of my own maternal grandmother who took care of me when I was young. We would run around and play all day and it was such a carefree life. We really had a childhood where there are not handphones, computers and TV! This was how we hung out with Grandma when our parents were not around and working. We didn't go shopping or to the movies. It was simple fun in the village. I missed those days. and wish the same for my children and the children of tomorrow....
