The FAA Portrait Gallery
I met this wonderful girl / lady by the name of Nimali and decided to paint her. She is a great cook and we had organic, healthy, delicious local and western cuisine for our meals during our stay. A very warm and lovely human being. I say it for all the locals that we met. They have so much love in their hearts. Art to me is transcending of races, religion, and just like music and other art forms, it brought us together even if we can't converse well in English or our own language. I stayed up the last night and woke up early in the morning to finish it as I wanted to give a part of myself to this wonderful lady. She was indeed v pleased with it and was emotional when we hugged and said goodbye. I wanted and will and hope to visit them again next year!
