I tell myself never to depend on the weather man again. It was supposed to be a pretty cloudy/sunny day or so I thought. I carried my painting stuff, lugged it in the train, and walked to find this spot. After about two hours, it started to drizzle and the cold winds set in. My fingers were literally shivering and I could not hold my brush any longer and that was when I told myself to stop against my wishes. A German tourist kindly persuaded me to go get myself a hot chocolate at a nearly cafe which I heeded and waited till the rain went away. It was an unforgettable experience for me cos it was the first time I was painting plein air ALONE. I told myself there is always a first time! This trip was one of many firsts in a way. I just LOVE sitting out there catching the light and breathing and soaking in the beauty of the entire place! Not a care in the world! It was as if Time stood still and it's just between me and the subject! I was oblivious to the onlooking crowd and noise around me...The feeling was Unbelivably Blissful for me! It was HEAVENLY! I want to continue doing this for as long as I live! Thank you for visiting.
I name this after the song 'A Rainy Day in Georgia' sang by Randy Crawford, one of my all time favorite singers.
The original is for sale.

What a wonderful rich scene, Belinda! I love the activity and the colorful buildings. It really feels like a rainy day. f/l
Belinda Low replied:
Thank you v much, AnnaJo! I am glad you and others can feel the rainy atmosphere. It wasn't raining heavily. I wanted to carry on painting but it was just too cold when the winds came and I had to pack up and that's was the anticlimax of the day...I guess you know how it feels like when you are enjoying it and had to leave due to the elements...:-D
