Title
The Way It Was
Artist
Belinda Low
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
ORIGINAL SOLD. FEATURED in Nature and Landscapes and Seasons of Beauty. My second commissioned piece which reminds one of nostalgia of an old house that is not there anymore being replaced by modern buildings. This painting gave the buyer, seen here when he was a boy next to his uncle in front of the house, a sense of days gone by and brought back many fond memories for him of his childhood. I am glad I have contributed in some way through my work.

Belinda Low replied:
Thanks so much for visting this one, Henryk and for your positive feedback. Wondering have you ever tried tasting just a wee bit of this king of the fruit? It's an acquired taste just like Asians taking to cheese (haha)...Have a great day, Sir! :-)

Debbie - Thanks v much! Such paintings do evoke feelings of nostalgia. it's sad many old places are giving way to modern buildings here... Am working on another old building bulit in 1900. Will share when it's done. Have a good weekend! :-)

Fantastic work! Love all the clothes on the line! I remember those days before modern dryers (well, at least the days before we could afford on!:D ) The smell of fresh air still comes to my memorie! v/f

Thanks AnnaJo! It's funny how sometimes you just don't feel like continuing on with a painting that you have started and then all of a sudden you feel like going on and on and on and can't stop. That's what happened with this one....Have a nice day and happy painting!

I love the way you captured the light in this painting, a very realistic piece.
Belinda Low replied:
Daniel - thank you for your compliments! Yes It's every artist's satisfaction when their works are appreciated and especially when they themselves (me being the perfectionist that I am) are quite happy with the end result. If it has made my client happy, I am happy too.
