Description
A panoramic view of the entire wall. I named it as it is as someone commented that the artist had to prepare herself to withstand the discomforts that come with outdoor art - the weather, humidity, the heat, the rain and not forgetting the mozzies that come out in the evening in such a tropical climate! This can be considered 90% completed and I am ready to go on to the next wall/s. Taking a break in November and will start again in early December. Expected date of completion for all 11 walls is Mar/April of 2015. I am so glad I can contribute this way and be a part of this project. It's a legacy that I leave with the people living there, and trust that this brings much joy and lots of memories for these folks. Thank you for your visit.

Beautiful mural and interesting description. Where did you paint this? I am guessing somewhere in Asia from the roof lines of a couple of the buildings and you mention a tropical climate so maybe southeast Asia? I especially like the way you incorporated the existing structures like the light fixtures and the niche into the building as well as the way you used doorways, steps, and windows to invite us into the scene.

Hi Nikolyn, apologies for the late reply. Thank you v much for dropping by and for your generous feedback. Yes this is in Chinatown, Singapore. This is supposed to depict a Cihnese village as there are many old folks living here and this is the exact platform where they go for their morning exercise hence the concept for the walls here. It may remind for some of their homeland in China.
