Humane Face. Feels it's about time I paint my family starting with my beautiful parents - bless their souls! I do miss them so much. And it's always when one is not around that we miss them. I wished I had spent more time with them but circumstances didn't permit then. No use regretting now - but thank God for this gift of immortalising them on canvas! I want to see them and spend eternity with them...this time telling them how much I have loved them! In the eyes of the child, the parents will always be beautiful just as in the eyes of the parent, the child is always their child. The song 'You are So Beautiful' sung by Joe Cocker comes to mind...
You are so beautiful
To me
You are so beautiful
To me
Can't you see
You're everything I hope for
You're everything I need
You are so beautiful to me
You are so beautiful to me
You are so beautiful
To me
Can't you see
You're everything I hope for
You're every, everything I need
You are so beautiful to me

Aww!! I love this! They are very beautiful and If your profile work is you, you look so very much like your mother! v/l
Belinda Low replied:
Hello Debbie! Thanks so much for liking this. I just felt so compelled to paint them after I dug out these photos. A lot of people say I look more like her than dad but I always believe there is a mixture of both somewhere somehow if not in our features then it's in our mannerisms and gifts!
Lilian Seow
Yes, very powerful drawing of Mom and Dad. You have captured their vibrant loving eyes! It felt like only yesterday that we last saw them. Thanks for reviving the short sweet memories we had with them! So proud of you.
Belinda Low replied:
To my dearest sibling -- I am glad you liked the gift and this. Something just tells me to paint them - like a small voice in my head which I Iistened and followed my heart...Our tie and bond will forever remain unbroken. Much love from here.

JASON SENTUF
What a gorgeous memorial painting of your parent, Belinda! Very unusual work with black-white acrylic medium. I like it
Belinda Low replied:
Thanks so much, Jason! Yes I suddenly am inspired to paint my dear ones. I miss them so much and this is the only way I can connect with my feelings.
Lianne Schneider
So amazing - I'm not sure I've seen anyone do portraits in oil on canvas in b/w. But I must say, it's incredibly effective. Handsome couple indeed!! F/L
Belinda Low replied:
Lianne - thanks so much! Don't know if you can see if not at least some similiarity in my features from my profile to them? I guess I am cross of them both! Intend to start another one this time with me and my sis when we were babies! The rendering of the b/w is to give it a nostalgic feel...Add a bit of brown and you get sepia which also gives the same feeling...
Kume Bryant
Very beautiful work Belinda! vf
Belinda Low replied:
Hey Thanks so much, Kume for being the first to comment on this. I felt pretty emotional just doing this and lovingly painted them with every stroke reminiscing as much as possible whatever memories I had with them.
