This is Monica - a very warm, giving and lovable human being. She was instrumentable in making me feel so at home and gave up her comfortable bed for me while I was there. I will always remember their friendship and love accorded to me. Their home was a household of much love and she is a living example of what a mother and wife is. I salute her for what and who she is. A fiercely independent and hardworking woman and I dedicate this page to her. Although her hair is colored reddish brown now, but since she is a natural blonde and her screen idol is Marilyn Monroe that I have painted her hair in its natural color and hence the title of the artwork.

Great painting!Wonderful,heart painted portrait,Belinda! L/F
Belinda Low replied:
Hello Henryk, Thank you so much for your support and encouraging words. Yes every portrait was painted from my heart and it's an appreciation of what the person had done while I was there. I was most critical of this work when it was done...If I had not given to her, I would have repainted and think of touching it up many times at home. Have a great weekend, Sir! :-D
Antonis Gourountis
fantastic portrait and very expressive ! Excellent work ! LF!
Belinda Low replied:
Dear Antonis - Thank you so much for your visit. I did not paint her smiling or laughing cos I wanted the image to be not so stern but showing a stronger face and someone who had gone through life...I can acquaint myself with her as we have led somewhat similar lifestyle. She had five children and am proud to say together with her husband, she had brought them up well. Have a great weekend! :-D
Laurie Search
What an amazing dedication to her!! And it's absolutely beautiful, Belinda!!! I'm sure she will just love it!!! I do!! :)))fv
Belinda Low replied:
Hi Laurie! Thank you so much for appreciating this! It's my first of a Caucasian face and a blonde too! I didn't have much time to touch up the portraits that I did while abroad but did the best I could with the little time I had. Yeah, she kept and so did they. :-)
