Description
I did not touch this up as I decided it should stay as it is being done pleinair and I couldn't wait to share it here after found this amongst those done during my trip to Sri Lanka. It was raining outside and we felt kind of trapped within the building after lunch. So why don't we just paint from inside and I found this spot where I could use the pillars on both sides of the window to frame the image. Looking out, it wasn't clear and I had to use much of my imagination. the song 'Misty' came to mind when I drew this.

Kimberlee Baxter
Very nice painting, Belinda, framed in by brick or stone pillars! I like the idea of the "inside looking out" POV, as most works are done with just the opposite! I love the honest simplicity of this work and the simple utilitarian bowl...speaks of living the simple life, but with soulful meditation! Fave! L/F!
Belinda Low replied:
Thank you! Kimberlee for viewing this and for your great comments which I appreciate v much! Yeah it was really back to the basics whenever I go for such painting trips..Bohemian style w/o aircon and the daily comforts that we take for granted most of the time and being grateful just for being alive! and immersing in the way the people live and simply be in THE moment! :-D
Tessa Fairey

Belinda Low replied:
Hello Tessa - You may be wondering why I didn't respond almost immediately and that's because I was having problems with accessing FAA from home?! I am trying to get them to resolve this. Meanwhile, I can only reply from my office during lunch hour on weekdays hence this note till today. As always, Thanks v much for your kind support of my work without which I would not know how I did for my work! :-)
