Wall 5 - Coloring Holland V. It's so named after the recent SG100 celebration and the theme was to follow the rainbow. A man walked by and encouraged me to follow that rainbow which was symbolic for me in a way. I wasn't just following--I am actually chasing after the rainbow before time runs out for me. As the name of the village suggests --even though it was actually named after a Dutch architect with Dutch expatraites living here then, I just gotta feature the iconic windmill and bring the flowers and landscape of The Netherlands here. People especially the older folks who have never travelled asked about this place where blooms abound cos we never see such a beautiful array of colorful flowers all neatly and nicely lined in rows and rows across a flat land and lots of blue sky. I met a Dutchman who had lived here for more than 10 years and he was pretty pleased to see his homeland in this tropical city. He will pose in his traditional garb and dutch shoes for a shot soon which I am looking forward to. There is a police post next door and even the guys come over and admire whenever they are on duty...Such is the beauty of community/wall work bringing cheer and life to the residents and all. I hope the same for you that whatever your rainbow is, just follow your heart and may you find your wish come true at the end of it...
