It gives me great pleasure to be able to paint this man during my one of our painting sessions in Sri Lanka. Asokan not only has an unusual name, but also a very interesting face. That's why we chose him as our model. A very humble, hardworking and quiet man - he was very excited to be posing for us and wore the shirt he usually wears on special occasions. A shirt given to him by his father - he wore it proudly that day with hair neatly combed. I will always remember him and my visits to this beautiful country from these images. They serve as good memories for me. I hope to visit them again some day. Thank you for visiting. The original is for sale if you like this face and this piece - I am willing to part with it for a reasonable price knowing that it will go to a home where it's appreciated.
